The railway opened in 1884 climbs through the Atlantic Forest from Cosme Velho to Christ the Redeemer.
Sugarloaf Cable Car
Two cable car rides from Praia Vermelha to Morro da Urca and the top of Sugarloaf, 396 m up. From the top, you can see Christ the Redeemer.
Before you book your combo
Does the Train go up to Christ the Redeemer?
Yes. The Corcovado Train ticket includes the ride up to Christ — that's why there is no Train + Christ combo.
Can I do both on the same day?
Yes. At checkout you pick the date and time of each outing; on the same day, leave at least 3 hours between them (the system won't let you book times that are too close). Train check-in closes 40 minutes before departure.
Is there a child fare?
Yes: children aged 7 to 11 pay the Train child fare and the Sugarloaf child ticket. For children under 7, message us on WhatsApp before buying.
How does the Sugarloaf time slot work?
The Sugarloaf ticket is valid for one date and one entry slot of up to 1 hour (for example, entering between 14:00 and 15:00). You can't enter before or after the slot; once inside, stay as long as you like.
Why do you ask for a CPF or passport?
Both tickets are issued in the buyer's name and ID: CPF for Brazilians, passport (and country, for Sugarloaf) for foreigners.
How do I receive the tickets?
After payment you get one ticket per outing. The Train ticket arrives by e-mail and WhatsApp, with the official barcode, and must be PRINTED: the Train gate only accepts the printed voucher. The Sugarloaf ticket arrives by e-mail, with one QR code per person, which works on your phone. Bring a photo ID.
