Maracanã + Christ

From up there, you see the Maracanã.

From the top of Corcovado, the stadium shows up between the forest and the city. And on a clear day, Christ the Redeemer can be spotted from several points in and around the Maracanã. They are about 5 km apart as the crow flies: you can do both on the same day, in whichever order you prefer.

  2. 2

    Head to Christ

About 9 km by car to the Corcovado Train station in Cosme Velho, or about 11 km to Paineiras, where the official van goes up to Christ. There is no parking at Paineiras: take a taxi or a ride-hailing app.

  3. 3

    Go up to Christ

On the Train, check-in closes 40 min before departure. At Paineiras, arrive 15 min before boarding.

We recommend at least 3 hours between the two times.

Frequently asked questions

Before you buy

Is this the official Maracanã website?

No. The Singular Club resells tickets for the Official Maracanã Tour. You buy here, receive a voucher in your name and exchange it for the ticket at the Gate A ticket office. Sales and support are handled by us.

What will I see?

Eight stops: the historical collection (with the net and ball from Pelé's thousandth goal), the scale-model area, the Walk of Fame, the mixed zone, the dressing room, the warm-up room, the pitchside (with one of the substitutes' benches and the Maracanã Mais seats) and the press conference room. The order may vary and, on match or event days, some areas may be closed. See the route →

Can I step onto the pitch?

No. The tour goes up to the pitchside, with access to one of the substitutes' benches and the Maracanã Mais seats, but entering the pitch is not allowed.

How long does it take? Is it guided?

Usually 40 minutes to 1 hour. The tour is monitored: you get directions at the entrance and go at your own pace, with tour staff along the way to introduce each space and answer questions.

What language do the tour staff speak?

The Tour's official sources do not state which languages the staff speak, so we do not promise assistance in English or any other language. If this is decisive for you, message us before buying.

Can I buy for today?

Yes, if there are still spots: sales for each departure close 90 minutes before the time.

What times are available?

The schedule changes by date. The times with spots here appear in the next-times strip and in the checkout calendar. See the next times →

How do I get the ticket? Do I need to print it?

You receive a voucher in your name by e-mail and WhatsApp, with a barcode. Print it and show it at the Gate A ticket office, which opens at 8:30 a.m., to collect your tickets before your tour time.

Can I cancel or change the date?

Message our team on WhatsApp as soon as possible, always before your visit time. Each request is reviewed under the ticket supplier's rules, so we do not promise automatic exchanges or refunds.

Who can get a half-price ticket?

Students (student card and ID), children aged 3 to 11, people aged 60 and over, people with disabilities (Rio de Janeiro State Law 4,240/2003) and, when needed, their companion, and teachers and education professionals from Rio's municipal public schools (photo ID and SME staff card or payslip). Each person shows their proof at the entrance.

Do children pay? Who doesn't pay?

Children aged 3 to 11 pay half price, with ID. Free with ID: children up to age 2 (up to 2 years, 11 months and 29 days) and accredited tour guides. Free admission does not apply to groups and is not sold here; if in doubt, message us before buying.

Why do you ask for a CPF or passport?

Because the voucher is issued in the buyer's name and document. Brazilians enter their CPF; international visitors enter their passport and pay by international card.

What about match or event days?

The tour runs on reduced hours and closes hours before the gates open. During big events it may close for a few days, and some areas, such as the substitutes' benches, may be closed. If a match changes date or time, some tour times have to be rescheduled — in that case, message our team.

Can I take photos? Bring a bag or a pet?

Take as many photos as you like, with a phone or camera, flash included — only sets, lighting setups and drones are not allowed. For photos, the Tour suggests 9:30 to 11 a.m. and 3 to 4:30 p.m. There are lockers for small and medium items (you leave an ID until you return the key); large suitcases don't fit. Pets up to 5 kg, carried in your arms throughout the visit; guide dog or support animal with a medical report or ID card.

Can I eat or drink during the tour?

Not on the route. The stadium has snack bars for before or after the visit.

Is there anything else to do at the stadium?

Yes, paid separately and only at the stadium itself: Gol de Placa (shots at goal on the synthetic turf behind one of the goals, next to the pitch, with a professional video; it depends on the weather and may be suspended on match days) and Foto Lembrança (a professional photo in front of the pitch, printed on the spot, with a digital copy). There are also official Flamengo, Fluminense and Maracanã stores.

What about accessibility?

People with disabilities are entitled to half price under Rio de Janeiro State Law 4,240/2003 — and so is their companion, when needed. For access along the route, message our team before buying.

Can I combine it with Christ the Redeemer?

Yes. It is about 9 km by car to the Corcovado Train station and about 11 km to Paineiras. We recommend at least 3 hours between the two times. Plan the day with Christ →
